untitled.

Welcome to the Touch Of Pink blog page. Lots of great new pop tracks from Estelle (featured image on previous page) Nick Jonas, Tulisa, Alexandra Stan and Take That, plus some nice covers (and we love a good cover) from Aretha, Sia, Jason Walker, Amanda Lear (see above) and Parra For Cuva.

My Single Of The Week is ‘Wicked Games’ by Parra For Cuva ft Anna Naklab. It was produced by a German House producer, and is apparently big in Europe at the moment. The reason I have chosen it as single of the week is because I just love this song … I already have quite a few covers, also mainly in the lounge/downtempo style, but I can’t get enough of it, it’s just a classic tune.

Here follows tonight’s playlist. Tune in this Saturday on JOY 94.9 from 6-7pm for a bakers dozen of fab-u-lous tracks. Your host is Dick.

What have I seen lately?

FILM: I’m looking forward to the ANNIE remake … see trailer

SIA with ‘You’re Never Fully Dressed Without A Smile’ from the new ANNIE

FILM : Pride: Another British feel-good movie for the oldies, but this time they’ve upped the gay content. It is based on a real life event, when a gay and lesbian group decided to rasie money for the Welsh miners who were being starved out of their jobs by mine closures. The film shows how the gays managed to overcome some of the homophobia from some of the miners. I guess it was a little predictable, but who cares? It was such fun, and the main characters were great.

FILM : This Is Where I Leave You: I went to see this just cos I like the actors … Jane Fonda, Tina Fey, Justin Bateman etc. It’s not Checkov but it was enjoyable. It concerned a family whose father had died, and the mother wanted to gather her (adult) children to sit with her for a 7 day wake. Naturally they all had dysfunctional relationships which gradually emerged during the film, but I loved it anyway. Perhaps that was the appeal: to see a film that mirrors our own lives or makes us feel that such dysfunction isn’t that unusual.

Dick’s Top 6 Videos This Week

Estelle: Conqueror … british diva with a gorgeous loking video

Tulisa: Living Without You … another gorgeous looking video

Amanda Lear: Suspicious minds … camp as tits

Take That: These Days … 3 in a bed … say no more!

Alexandra Stan: Dance … great eye candy

That’s your lot ….. now sashay away …
