Welcome to the Touch Of Pink blog page. I’m playing four of my favourite gay acts tonight: Elton, Jimmy, PSB and Erasure, so a touch of pink, indeed!

I’m loving the Veronicas and two new divaz-in-training, Ariana Grande and Kiesza, and three pro’s, Jennifer Hudson, Taylor Dayne and Kristine W. All amazing, and, except for the aussie Veronicas, American.

It’s also very exciting having Take That back with a track from their forthcoming new album 3, and they are down to a 3-piece band, now that Jason has left. At least Gary, my favourite, is still there. I don’t think they could manage without him, to be honest.

My Single Of The Week is ‘Love Come Home’ by Kristine W. She always does such low rent videos, usually set in car parks, this one is no exception, plus over-the-top costumes and make-up that could only have been done by a drag queen.

What have I seen lately?

Film: The Case Against 8: (Documentary) American film following two couple’s and the court case (and appeals etc) to overturn California’s ban on same-sex marriage. You know it’s doing a good job when you are on the edge of your seat wondering whether they are going to win or lose and you already know the result. Excellent.

Musical: Happy People: This was a special 4 performances @ Chapel Off Chapel of the new musical ‘In Concert’ style. It was about a ‘Hi-Five’ type band about to go on their 10^th anniversary concert tour. There are many surprises in store for the cast, as the plot progresses, and romance problems for the two straight couples, the other member being a wonderfully ott gay guy. The whole cast was wonderful, the musical was great, and when they put on a finished show, should be at least a minor hit, well worth seeing. The quality of Australia’s musical talent continues to amaze me.
