This week’s episode of BROAD opens with the victory speech of Minnesota’s Ilhan Omar, the first Somali-American woman to be elected to a state house of representatives in the US. Ms Omar’s win is a small, bright spark in the midst of a wave of anti-Muslim and anti-immigrant hate speech and violence.
Sonja chats to Erin Adams and Devon Taylor from the Women’s Circus, a feminist, non-profit arts organisation celebrating their 25th anniversary this year!
