This week on the show, we’re discussing crowdfunding, specifically when it comes to video games! Kickstarter, Fig and Indiegogo are just a few examples of major crowdfunding platforms where people can pay developers money in advance to help make their creations come to life. We’ve seen a real growth in this part of the video games industry over the last few years, and we’re now experiencing the results first-hand with plenty of titles now available to play.

Join Luke, Elliot, Jake and Edith as they tackle the biggest success stories, but also the biggest disasters, where sometimes video games have received funding and then never come to fruition, or are stuck in eternal development hell. Who takes responsibility when a video game from crowdfunding doesn’t meet expectations? Are developers expected to deliver more content if they receive more money than they were asking for? Where does all of this leave the consumer at the end of the day?
