Time flies … on the 36th anniversary of Bon Scott’s death, writer/producer Andrew Barker was in the JOY94.9 studio chatting with David and Sue about his latest production Hell ain’t a bad place to be ….. the story of Bon Scott

Bon almost achieved his dream, dying when he was on the cusp of international rock stardom as frontman for the legendary AC/DC. This is a narrative concert with Nick Barker telling the story of Bon’s life in word and song, backed by a four piece rock line up. 
Reference to AC/DC’s groundbreaking video, filmed for Countdown as the band played on the back of a flat-bed truck driving along Swanston Street, brought teasing from Andrew and David about Sue’s failure to ever get herself into the Countdown audience. Never believe all you’re told, is the message!

Bon Scott had a sad end but this interview is heaps of fun 🙂

Hell ain’t a bad place to be ….. the story of Bon Scott is on a the National Theatre, St Kilda – Friday to Sunday, 26-28 February
and is part of the Knox Festival on Friday 4 March
