QUEEN KONG and the HOMO sapiens are a Melbourne-based punk, performance art, queer rock band. Queen Kong, the rock god alter ego of Sarah Ward, is a mythological, immortal half-being – part rock and part ape – with the power of metamorphosis and the will to change the world, backed by all-queer, all-gendervariant rock band the HOMO sapiens: Bec Matthews, Cerise Howard, Gen Bernstein and Jo Franklin.
