INTERVIEW: Zoe and Becca from RMIT’s HIVE Rocket Program on Rockets and the Australian Universities Rocket Competition #ListenNow

It’s been a while since the interview when the Drive It OUT team of Will and Pete (filling in on Labour day) once again rocketed into space and chatted with the incredible team from the RMIT HIVE rocket program about the work that goes into Australia’s launch into the space program. Zoe is one of the launch engineers on the Mission Control team at HIVE, while Becca is on the HIVE leadership team and a communications guru. You’ll be amazed at the work being done, so look up to the sky and beyond! You may even see a JOY sticker on one of the rockets!

In the interview, which was done in March, Zoe & Becca talk about their hopes for the team during the upcoming Australian Universities Rocket Competition (AURC) and their hopes were certainly fulfilled as they placed first in the 30,000ft category at the competition. Congratulations!

HIVE is RMIT’s student-led multidisciplinary rocketry team initially formed as an entrance to the Australian Universities Rocket Competition (AURC) where it placed first in the 30,000ft category. The team consists of over 50 students, academics and industry partners across the disciplines of science, technology, engineering, mathematics, business, and creative industries.
