The mighty Magpies take on the Brisbane Lions at the MCG on Saturday for the 2023 Men’s Grand Final! Join the Magpie Pride Army and cheer on the black and white with Collingwood Pride on Friday, Saturday and into Sunday! Antoun Issa, Chair Collingwood Pride joins us live in the JOY Studio to talk us through how you can get involved, that you are welcome to jump on the bandwagon and have fun! What are the LGBTIQA+ Brisbane Lions fans doing this week to support their team? There is Pride of Brisbane facebook group and Dion Alexander, AFL Pride Collective member, Rainbow Swan and Mr Gay Pride Australia 2022 joins us to encourage those interested to get involved and build the LGBTIQA+ supporter group up to be as strong as the Rainbow Swans, Collingwood Pride, Carlton Pride and other more established groups. Brisbane is the sporting city of the moment! The Brisbane Lions are in the AFL Grand Final on Saturday. The Brisbane Broncos are in the NRL Grand final on Sunday. Ever thought about trying lacrosse? there is no time like the present! Kristen Stone Hutchison Development Officer Lacrosse Victoria and Pride in Sport Ally of the Year 2023 Finalist joins us to tell us how we can get involved! The Lacrosse Together Cup is on Sunday, 8 October – the annual social round robin with clubs competing and the community invited to head on over and give this terrific sport a go. (Starts 30:26)
