The first episode in our series discusses high risk periods when people are likely to fall victim to domestic violence and how to ensure your safety.

Jacq and Dene chat to Bronwyn from KHQ Lawyers about putting an intervention order in place.

Your safety is a priority and you should contact the police if you are in immediate danger. The police and a lawyer can obtain an intervention order on your behalf.

Penalties for breaching an intervention order are severe and effective if the breaches are reported. This ensures expectations are made clear from the very beginning.

Protective services are available to provide further practical support on how to secure your home. We will discuss this further in the next episode in our series on domestic violence.
