Ryan Storr is a Diversity & Inclusion Consultant who is working with the Department of Transport and Planning on a research project exploring LGBTIQ+ people’s experiences of public transport in Victoria.
As part of the project a survey was released yesterday asking LGBTQ+ Victorians about their experiences on public transport to help make it more accessible and to highlight any hindrances our communities may have in using them.
Everyone deserves to feel safe and welcome on public transport, but we need data so the Department of Transport and Planning can better understand the diverse needs of our communities so they can work towards creating more accessible public transport for us all to feel safe.
