Our Queer History Museum / Exhibition

Part of the Shepparton Arts Festival set up by Ruby Wyatt-Carter
Our Queer History Museum is made up of 6 different portable displays, each representing a time period in history; starting from early 1900s, until present day. Each display includes information on a pull-up banner about LGBTQIA+ history from that time period, such as laws, major pride events and important people who lived in that time. Each display is decorated with furniture, and decor from that decade.

Details
LEGO workshop for Rainbow Families with young people under the age of 12.
What to expect: A fun, free morning meeting other Rainbow Families, while our young people and children create a LEGO project. You even get to take your LEGO creations home!
Parents/carers must remain at the event with their young person.
What is a Rainbow Family?
A Rainbow Family is an LGBTQIA+ parented family. A Rainbow Family is defined as any lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and gender diverse, queer, intersex and asexual person who has a child or children.
This includes those with a child or children through foster care, fostering to adoption and adoption (domestic or international)

We’ll be providing light Afternoon Tea snacks and beverages, as we watch one of our favorite camp classic movies.
This is a social event specifically for our LGBTQIA+ Community Seniors and their friends and family to connect with others in the community (50+ preferred please).
