In a meeting a fortnight ago, Cumberland City Council in Western Sydney voted on an action for its 8 council libraries to rid of same-sex parenting books and materials, claiming the region is a “religious area” with “deep family values” and our eyes could not roll hard enough.
Anthony, now residing in Melbourne, was previously based in the Cumberland Council area for 27 years and was heavily involved in the local community, and continues to visit the area several times a year.
