Kenton Miller – living, breathing, lefty legend

Arts, Society & Culture

You may know the man in this Lefty Pinkoes podcast as ‘Kenton Penley’, or ‘Kenton Penley Miller’; or as ‘that super-talented, super-enthusiastic rights activist/ illustrator/ comic artist/ dulcet-toned Adelaidian dude… you know, the one with the admirable knowledge of Melbourne’s queer political machinations and his home town’s grimy social underbelly.’  Yeah him!

Needless to say, Kenton is an exuberant powerhouse, and just quietly – Melbourne’s awfully lucky to have nabbed him from the capital to our west.

We wanted to get Kenton in on our show as a) he’s a lefty legend and z) Kenton’s been involved in a rather lovely project that we wanted to promote’ in our community and beyond.

Kenton’s the magic-hand illustrator behind the inspired, tear-jerking shorts produced by the National Institute of Challenging Homophobia Education. If you haven’t seen them, make yourself a cup of tea, grab a box of Kleenex and take them in – they’re absolutely beautiful!

You can check them out by visiting NICHE IDAHO Campaign: ‘L’ – Mini (YourStory)
