The official anthem of the Sydney Mardi Gras for 2014 comes from the headline act, and the 7th Heaven remix has arrived to give us all a taste of what to expect from Tina when she hits the RHI stage in the early hours of Sunday morning, 2 March.

‘Amazing’ is the name of Marcia Hines’ first original material to be released in 20 years. Amazing is the only word to describe the strength of her voice, and simply amazing is what Sydney boys DJ Dan Murphy and Steve Peach have done with the remix. A new anthem is born.

A Melbourne stalwart of local label Vicious Records, Andy J (aka Sgt Slick), helps them celebrate their 20th year in business with a great new release, Got to Love Somebody, sampling a 1980 album track by Sister Sledge.

UK-born Marvin Priest (son of reknowned reggae artist Maxi Priest) achieved platinum sales and an APRA award for his debut single, Own this Club, in 2010. He now bases himself in both Sydney and New York, and returns to the airwaves with a slightly less dance-oriented, more urban-tinged release.

Our favourite expat South Australian songwriter to the stars, Sia, has teamed up with American rapper and singer Angel Haze to help out on the second single from Angel’s debut album, Dirty Gold. Battle Cry covers some fairly emotional ground around child abuse and selfharm – it’s worth more than a couple of listens.

The out-and-proud and very sexy Kele (lead singer of Bloc Party) teams up with Portuguese-born, US-based producer RAC as well as New York duo Amanda Warner and Peter Wade (aka MNDR), and uses his gorgeous vocals to full advantage.

Utah-based Neon Trees have definitely left their alt/rock roots well behind since teaming up with dance-producer Kaskade last year. Sleeping with a Friend is slick and polished pop.

Swedish House Mafia, Avicii and Sebastian Ingrosso together have sold over 7 million singles, all using the vocal talents of John Martin. He finally gets to release his own debut single, and Anywhere for You doesn’t disappoint.

Set your alarm and tune into Rochén and Michael on the six at six for the newest songs to the mix, every weekday morning at 6am.
