One new addition to our mix this week – and it’s a big one.
Scottish singer-songwriter-producer-remixer-DJ Calvin Harris has discovered deep house and decided to put his own spin on it for our first taste of a new album expected early next year.
It’s reported that How Deep Is Your Love started out as writing collaboration between London-based band Disciples and Norwegian singer-songwriter Ina Wroldsen. They recorded the vocals of Wroldsen in one take for the demo of the song, which was then sent to their music publishing company, Fly-Eye (Harris’s publishing company), for some pointers. Instead, Calvin asked if they could all collaborate on the final version together.
Already charting in the top 10 here in Australia, top 5 in the UK and top 40 in 15 other regions around the world, ‘How Deep Is Your Love’ is going to be one of the big ones for 2015.
