Nineteen-year-old Melbourne independent singer-songwriter Brittany Leo kicks off our new music this week with Starting Over. Co-written with the MSsquared production team of Michael Paynter and Michael Delorenzis, this one sits well with the big guns in our mix, no problem.
UK duo Gorgon City return with a brand-new single as the lead from what we hope will be a second album in early 2016.
Aussie DJ-producer Throttle debuts with an impressive collaboration after remixing for some big names in the past year.
The Voice Australia 2014 winner, Anja Nissen, has seen some success on the charts this year with her cover of ‘Anyone Who Had a Heart’. She returns with a strong original pop song. Triumph is just what we’ve been hoping for for Anja.
Miami-based hip-hop artist Lunchmoney Lewis had a surprise hit on his hands earlier this year with ‘Bills’. ‘Whip It!’ is another slightly left-of-centre offering but we think you’ll come to love it.
The ‘Call Me Maybe’ girl, Carly Rae Jepsen, returns with the second single, ‘Run Away with Me’, from her second studio album, which is expected very soon.
Russian-born Australian multilingual electro-soul singer-songwriter Fantine made her musical debut on the Australian indie music scene in 2010 as a featured artist in a collaboration with Space Invadas. She’s currently based in Miami and has signed with the Estefan label in the USA. Recruiting Wyclef Jean and El Cata to produce and even some final tweaks from Emilio Estefan (Miami Sound Machine) himself, we think means there’s going to be some serious interest in Fantine and ‘What a Day’. It’s also great to see the Love to Infinity team back remixing again after an extended break.
Set your alarm and tune into Rochén and Michael on the six at six for the newest songs to the mix, every weekday at 6am Melbourne time.
