Working at home? Turn JOY on and join the party!

Drinks, palm trees and sand are all the rage as we head to California to dance with Kim Petras. The German-born trans singer pops the cork on ‘Malibu’, a song made for partying in your beach house. This sparkling pop of sweetness will hit the spot and leave you feeling refreshed after these long weeks of iso.

We should be partying in Rotterdam this week, but with the cancellation of Eurovision we’ve found other ways to celebrate pop music. Out-and-proud singer Lesley Roy was due to represent Ireland with ‘Story of My Life’ and we think you would’ve loved to have seen it performed on stage. Thankfully you can bop along to it while you work from home.

Aussie singer-songwriter Elishia found fame as part of girl group BEATZ, who came fifth on The X Factor Australia in 2016. She’s been busy writing in LA, Toronto and Nashville, and has finally released her debut solo single. ‘Mykonos’ features the vocals of fellow Sydneysider PATØN and invites you to imagine yourself partying in your bathers on a warm summer night in the Greek islands.

Australia sent Pras and Mya’s ‘Ghetto Superstar’ to the #2 spot on the chart in 1998, and its hook is getting attention in 2020 thanks to a British duo. Alex Ross and out-and-proud Paul Webb are Future Kings and they’ve dropped their debut release, ‘Rely’, along with some big names in dance music. Aussie DJ-producers Ivan Gough and Sgt Slick, aka L’Tric, give the track a dancefloor feel, while British singer Karen Harding provides sexy vocals to match. This song’s made for a party!

American singer Audrey Mika became a famous name thanks to her extensive body of work on YouTube. ‘Just Friends’ is the follow-up release to ‘Y U Gotta B Like That’, which has had over 52 million audio and video streams. We reckon you’ll enjoy the smooth, sultry feel of this new track.

Just before the lights are turned up, you’ll have time to enjoy something brand-new from British DJ-producer WEISS. His first release for 2020 is ‘First Sight’, which is the introduction to a musical project exploring themes of creative expression, unity, love and positivity. The 80s house feel is perfect to boogie to and we think this will be a major earworm.
