If you want some of the world’s best music, JOY’s the place to be.

As the Eurovision year comes to a strange close, some of your favourites are getting their time in the spotlight. Slovenia-born, Germany-based singer Ben Dolic was awarded 9th place in SBS’s Big Night In vote with ‘Violent Thing’. The dance-bop, written by Borislav Milanov, did better with JOY listeners, coming in at #6 in JOYEurovision’s countdown. It’s made for radio and made for dancing to, and we reckon it will make you want to hit the clubs just like Ben does in the video (once restrictions are lifted, of course).

Melbourne-based Indigenous singer Mitch Tambo has had a very successful year so far, being part of Eurovision: Australia Decides and getting Australians on their feet with his rendition of You’re the Voice at the conclusion of the Fire Fight Australia concert. Sung in the Gamilaraay language, ‘LOVE’ celebrates places in our lives that bring us joy and love. You may not understand it word-for-word, but we think you’ll be feeling the emotions after every listen.

You’ve been in a relationship with someone for a month or so, and one day they stop returning your calls. They disappear from social media, and you have no idea what’s happened to them. You’ve been ghosted. Melbourne’s Sebastian Ivanov, aka ALIUS, brings ghosting to the musical fore in ‘Houdini’. Teaming up with Newcastle-based singer-songwriter BOI, the out-and-proud producer delivers a bop all about disappearing in a puff of smoke.

There’s a whole lot of house love thanks to Division 4. You’ll be familiar with the local DJ-producer thanks to his remixes with fellow out-and-proud DJ Matt Consola, but now he has something new of his own. ‘Partition’ is made for the dance floor and we think you’ll enjoy the big sounds it employs.

Christchurch-born, Sydney-based singer-songwriter Theia burst onto the scene in 2016 thanks to her hit ‘Roam’ and has since released a heap of big tunes, including last year’s ‘Not Your Princess’. Completing her four-track EP 99% Angel is ‘Celebrity’, which was produced by Sydney’s Liam Quinn and features a video that is a piece of high art and horror theatrics.

If you’ve been keeping up with the Jonases, you’ll know they’ve just dropped a new doco on Amazon Prime called Happiness Continues that follows the Jonas Brothers on their most recent tour. A couple of the songs in the doco have got fans in an excited tizz, so the brothers have released them in the mini-EP XV. ‘X’ is the boppiest of the two singles and features Colombian reggaeton singer KAROL G giving us a bit of Latin love in Spanish. We reckon you’ll appreciate the change in pace (and language).
