Melbourne-based electronic pop artist Nussy first came to the attention of Australian audiences in 2014 when she released a self-titled debut EP featuring the single ‘Dizzy‘, the early buzz from which she consolidated last year with the stand-alone follow-up ‘My Heroin’.

2016 has already seen Nussy release the sultry single ‘Sinking Into You’ and now closely followed up by her newest offering ‘Body Talk‘.

Body Talk

Since the release of her debut single ‘Dizzy‘ and subsequent self-titled EP in July 2014, Nussy has been commanding attention one electrifying show at a time. In the highly saturated world of Australian electronica, Nussy stands out from the rest as an artist with a story to tell, and the talent to tell it so it is clearly understood – she is no pretender.

Emerging from deep within the world of Melbourne musicians, Nussy continues to sing her way from dark back alley performances, all the way to the shimmering world of festival electronica. With a voice that both romances the ears and saddens the heart, Nussy is captivating her audience one song a time.

Upon the release of the EP, Cameron Adams (NewsCorp) gave it the coveted place of “Album of the week” and heaped the 3-track offering with genuine praise. The video for ‘Dizzy‘ was shot by Jared Osborne (winner of Tropfest 2014) and remains a stunning visual introduction to her bizarre, colourful world. From there, Nussy has been tirelessly writing, recording, performing and touring.

Proving ‘Dizzy’ was no fluke, 2015 saw the release of her single “My Heroin” – a stark and brutal look into the seesawing emotional world of a poisonous relationship. Soon after she dropped the next track, ‘Sinking Into You’ which concerns the age-old saga of falling headfirst into an all- consuming relationship with someone who isn’t overly good for you through the medium of sultry synths, percolating beats and a devilishly syrupy melody. Following this up with hundreds of live shows both solo and with her incredibly impressive live 3 piece band, Nussy has supported acts such as Asta, YEO, Abbey May, Buchanan, Sophie Lowe, Lanks and Anno O.

Remember 2016 as the year you took Nussy into your heart and your eardrums for good. With several killer single releases set to be staggered throughout the coming months, and many, many more shows to come, Nussy is out to prove a point.
