Following the announcement of the RAPTURE Initiative – (a plan for Australia to become the first country in the world to achieve zero new HIV infections by 2020 through a fast-tract roll-out of PrEP), Dean is joined by Simon Ruth, the CEO of the Victorian AIDS Council.
With community frustrations increasing about the lack of access to PrEP and reports that community based importation channels have experienced an 85% increase in demand in December, it is clear that something needs to be done NOW. But is RAPTURE the way forward?
