World Animal Day

From our companion animals through to native wildlife, many of us feel a connection with animals in all shapes and sizes. Sunday October 4 is World Animal Day, and on this edition of JOY 94.9’s very own show about pets, the Pets-A-Loud team are celebrating the role animals play in our lives.

Also on the show:

  • We talk about the origins of World Animal Day and what you can do to celebrate.
  • World Animal Day Australian Ambassador and Founder of Edgar’s Mission , Pam Ahern talks to us about the importance of World Animal Day.
  • Each year World Animal Day is held on the same day as the Feast of St Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals and the environment. Adele Mapperson, Chaplin from Lort Smith Animal Hospital chats to us about St Francis.
