The Saturday Magazine team were thrilled to be joined by 3AW’s Neil Mitchell this morning, who was kind enough to lend his talents on the first day of his holidays from one of Melbourne’s most listened to radio shows.
The Liberation Conversation kicked off int he second hour with a discussion on whether that Tropfest winning film, Bamboozled, was offensive to LGBTI people, or perhaps just a bit silly. Our film critic Tara Judah had a few words on that one, while Neil Mitchell was also less than impressed.
Also joining Macca in the studio today was Melbourne’s Lord Mayor Robert Doyle. Indeed, it was a show dedicated to “talking Melbourne”. Stepping in for the second hour, a new voice for Saturday Magazine, journalist for The Australian Financial Review and The Guardian (among other titles) Mark Skulley.
