Aftermath

News & Politics, Podcast, Society & Culture

In a huge program this morning, Lord Mayor Robert Doyle joined Macca to talk about the Melbourne-Sydney rivalry and mulled over the coalition’s loss in the Victorian election. Former Premier Steve Bracks joined in the discussion to remember former Victorian government minister, Lynne Koskey who lost her battle with cancer this week. Goergia Riccard gave the Lord Mayor something to gloat over, with a recent Travel Australia article suggesting that Melbourne is the city that Aussie travellers love to visit most.

Newly minted MP for Most Things, Martin Foley, the Member for Albert Park joined the Lord Mayor and Neil Mitchell for a collective stoush and we remembered cricketer Phil Hughes who dies after a freak accident playing in a test match. We chatted about the 150th birthday of the Prahran Market with GM Christopher Young. Martin Wells from St John Ambulance had us defribulating in the studio as we looked at some very smart first aid tools, and we previewed a great big summer of sport with Chloe Saltau from The Age.
