The economic impact of COVID-19 on women

Dr Monica Costa is an economist and gender and development researcher at Curtin University. Each budget used to have a gender impact statement. COVID-19 has left women, more than men, economically disadvantaged through unemployment, underemployment, lowered incomes, less secure work, greater household and family demands, and increased risk of domestic violence. Monica discusses why we need this statement back.
