Macca is joined again by our chatty man Pete Dillon, the Executive Producer of Saturday Magazine. Bryan Negus from RACV talks about the speed cameras on the West Gate and the fact that they don’t work, are rusty and need to be taken down. We meet Andrew Barr, the newly elected Chief Minister of the ACT and a man who can lay claim to being the first openly gay leader of an Australian State or Territory, following the resignation of former Chief Minister, Katy Gallagher.
Jane Court talks to us about the Spirit of the Square at Fed Square, where people can enjoy a fee break on Christmas Day. Will Hocking from real estate agency, Hocking Stuart addresses the myth that took much of our property is being purchased by foreign interests, making it harder for Australians to make their way in to what is becoming a very challenging property market.
We get our geek on again with Astrophysicist Toby Brown from Swinburne who will tell us if there really are people or indeed, life on Mars. The orion spacecraft was launched this week to find out. Emma Stirling pops in to give us the lowdown on keeping ourselves tidy in this festive season, and how to manage all of those confounded festive treats and delicious tastes.
Gay Olympians are in the news with the International Olympic Committee adding a sixth principle to its charter, to prevent discrimination at this level of competition. Future host cities cannot be seen to be discriminatory and Olympian and great mate of our program, Kirstie Marshall joined us to discuss what it all means.
We struggle toward Christmas with just one more show before we pack on the pounds.
