Plebiscite Delays and Threats to Freedom of Speech

Is our freedom of speech being impeded? Liberal Senator Cory Bernardi seems to believe so, and has sworn to take action with a bill to water down the Racial Discrimination Act.

What changes does he want, and what would they mean?

Anna Brown from the Human Rights Law Centre and Doctor Amanda Kearney from the University of Queensland join for commentary.

And despite key election promises from the PM and the Attorney-General, the Coalition-driven plebiscite is likely to be pushed back to February next year. Approval for the costly opinion poll continues to drop, especially in the LGBTIA+ community.

Alex Greenwich from Aus Marriage Equality joins us to assess the situation.
