Georgie Stone named LGBTI Person of the Year

Georgie Stone

On tonight’s edition of The Informer we’re chatting with Melbourne’s recently crowned LGBTI Person of the Year Georgie Stone, who took home the award over the weekend for her incredible advocacy in the trans space.

At ten years old she was the first person in Australia to be granted permission to take hormone blockers by the Family Court, and now she’s fighting to end court interference for trans youth when seeking stage two cross hormone treatment.

We’ll also be joined by Georgie’s mum Rebekah Robertson who was a Straight Ally of the Year nominee, about Georgie’s story and why parents and family are the important allies to their trans kids.
