Jason Ball named Young Australian of the Year in Victoria

On tonight’s edition of The Informer we were joined by Victoria’s recently awarded 2017 Young Australian of the Year, Jason Ball.

Since coming out in 2012 Ball has worked tirelessly to champion LGBTI inclusion in sport, and has raised awareness around homophobia in the AFL.

We also spoke with Anna Whitelaw about the upcoming queer music festival Gaytimes, and why we need spaces like this for our LGBTI community.
