Aboriginal elders to lead Pride March for the first time

On tonight’s edition of The Informer we spoke with Mark Nannup about the role he played in organising a group of Aboriginal LGBTI people to lead this year’s Pride March, along with Midsumma’s Programming Manager Daniel Santangeli.

For the first time, Aboriginal community leaders and elders will lead Melbourne’s Midsumma Pride March, as a means to highlight the faces and voices often forgotten about or dismissed in Australia’s dialogue around LGBTI identities.
