The GLOBE Community Awards recognise the inspiring work in Victoria’s lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex communities.

Expression through art allows individuals and groups to reach out to and speak to the LGBTI community. Whether through canvas, the stage or digital, art provides an outlet for the community. This award goes to Mama Alto and recognises an LGBTI individual who is creative, innovative and builds community through their work.

GLOBE stands for Gay & Lesbian Organisation of Business & Enterprise and is Victoria’s professional, business, social and community networking organisation for the LGBTI community. Their aim is to further career and business opportunities in Victoria through networking, development and engagement with the broader community.
