Michelle and Andrea are joined by a very special guest Jay Urbanic.

Quite honestly, transition is one of the hardest thing that anyone could ever consider going through.

Psychological assessments, medical assessments, hormones, mood swings, anxiety, hair removal/transplants/wigs, building a whole new personality whilst rediscovering who you really are just some of the things that form that Iceberg called transition.

So many people walk into transition just think, “Quick! Juice me up with hormones and a simple bit of surgery”, and it only takes mere 2 to 7 hours, and it is a relatively simple bit of surgery for M2Fs, that carries so many life threatening risks, and hey presto we have a new gender that is universally accepted by society.

NO! Not quite.

We will be discussing transition from our own experience and perspective and where we are at present.

For each of us it has been a very different journey. You have to realize that we all start from somewhere and we will all end up somewhere, just at this present moment our paths are crossing.

We can all remember how anxious we were trying to get onto HRT regimes. The beginning to an end of our dysphoria. All those days scouring the internet searching for information that would explain our feelings, then with enough information in hand, heading down to the doctor’s surgery to get that all important script that will make me transform to my true gender. Only to be asked, “where is your referral letter from your psychologist?”

The reality is, transition is developing your own head space.
