Jamie Gardiner – Community Living Legend

One of the founding members of the Victorian AIDS Action Committee (now Thorne Harbour Health) and longstanding human rights activist, Jamie Gardiner OAM talks with Cal Hawk about his role in getting sex amongst men decriminalised in Victoria in the early 1980s and his involvement in the early response to HIV and AIDS in Australia.

This episode is part of the Community Living Legends series, reflecting on community-driven action and looking to the future as Thorne Harbour Health celebrates its 40th Anniversary in 2023.
