Heather was twenty-eight years old when ‘out-of-the-blue’ she told a group of friends that she would ride a motorcycle through Africa in 1993.

 

42,000 kilometers and 19 nineteen countries later, she never expected to return with the souvenir she did.

 

Ubuntu: one woman’s motorcycle odyssey across Africa is much more than a travel memoir.  It’s an amazing story of resilience, spirit and determination.
