Songs The Beatles Gave Away

John Lennon and Paul McCartney started writing songs together in the late 1950s and by 1963 were prolific composers who wrote songs for both the Beatles and other artists.

Some of their songs were intentionally written for Cilla Black It’s for You and Step Inside LoveA World Without Love for Peter and Gordon, From a Window for Billy J Kramer and Goodbye for Mary Hopkin. Other songs that the group decided not to release as Beatles songs were recorded by the AppleJacks, Tommy Quickly,  P J Proby, The Strangers with Mike Shannon  and the Rolling Stones.
