/ Checkpoint / Science & Medicine / Natural Sciences / Interview: Jon Clarke

Last week we chatted to a very special guest – Jonathan Clarke, President of the Mars Society Australia.

With DOOM being released next week and the game itself being set on Mars, Jon provides us with a very unique (and accurate!) take on many different topics relating to the planet Mars, including:

  • Survival on Mars
  • The human fascination with Mars
  • How the planet has been represented in film and pop culture
  • What elements of DOOM would actually be possible?
  • His thoughts on the Mars One project
  • The Mars Society, and how you can get involved.
  • How far away is ‘life on Mars’ really?
  • …and much much more!

A big thank you to Jon for the fantastic, interesting chat, and to the wonderful people at Bethesda for setting up the interview.

DOOM is being released on May 13th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. For more information on how to get involved with Mars Society Australia, CLICK HERE!
