David & Sue talk to Steve Stefanopoulos, City of Stonnington Mayor about Carols at Como Park

Steve Stefanopoulos, City of Stonnington Mayor talks to David & Sue about Carols at Como Park which is happening on Sunday 17 December @ 7;30pm. It just costs $5 per car and proceeds from the sale of programs, candles, glow-sticks and Santa hats will directly go to The Victoria Pride Centre. And guess what, Dolly Diamond will be making a special appearance so be there!

Carols at Como Park is one of Melbourne’s much-loved Carols. Featuring a stellar line up of performers, visitors bring along a picnic and celebrate Christmas under the stars with a spectacular riverside pyrotechnic display to conclude the night.

The one and only Cameron Daddo hosts Carols at Como Park 2017 featuring the iconic Christine Anu, performing some of her greatest hits and original Christmas songs, joined by a stellar line up of performers including, Amanda Harrison (Wicked, We Will Rock You), Kane Alexander (Hair, Footloose) and Blake Bowden (The Book of Mormon).

Proceeds from the sale of programs, candles, glow-sticks and Santa hats will directly go to The Victoria Pride Centre.

The Victorian Pride Centre is a unique initiative that celebrates, bolsters and protects equality, diversity and inclusion. It is set to forge a new chapter in the narrative of Australian Pride by bringing the LGBTI community together in a single and powerful space.

It aims to showcase Victoria’s diversity, pave new directions for its future, and honour and celebrate Australia’s LGBTI community’s brave – and at times difficult – past. It will be home to practical and supportive services as well being an international tourist destination.
