UK Passes Marriage Equality, Equal Love Push & LGBTI Counseling Hotline

UK PASSES MARRIAGE EQUALITY: Less than 24 hours after the British House of Lords passed a bill which would allow same-sex attracted people in the UK to get married, we speak with the campaign director of Out 4 Marriage, James Walsh.

EQUAL LOVE PUSH: Equal Marriage lobbying group Equal Love is pushing for Prime Minister Kevin Rudd to pass marriage equality legislation in his first 100 days after the federal election, if he is re-elected.

LGBTI COUNSELING HOTLINE: $3.3 million dollars in new funding announced by the federal government will see the QLife telephone support service expanded across the country to provide a counseling service for LGBTI people. The funding was announced by WA Senator Louise Prett and the new Mental Health Minister, Jacinta Collins.
