Armenia: Don’t Deny the Family Tree
Armenia is taking a novel approach to its entry for Vienna this year, plucking Armenians from all over the world.
The Armenian Public Television Company has announced that a group called Genealogy will represent the country with a song called Don’t Deny.
Five of the world’s continents will be represented, with Armenians from Europe, Asia, America, Africa and Australia joining a native Armenian to make the group of six. With the Armenian diaspora larger than the country’s actual population, the public broadcaster wanted to bring Armenians together.
Valuing the idea of peace, unity, and tolerance the creative team of the AMPTV united the new generation of the Armenian people spread through 5 continents around the world in the year of 1915.
The group’s members will be revealed over the next few weeks.
