One Day In October

Uncategorized

In a surprising twist, today’s edition is about the Footy Season coming to a close, with Macca, Pete and Tas, complete with each finalists’ anthem.

John Borghetti, CEO of Virgin Australia, explains how his airline is cross-promoting the Grand Final and its entertainment; then AFL stalwart Brent ‘Boomer’ Harvey shares his experiences of getting prepared for the Big Game.

Mike Bradley, half of the duo that gave Up There Cazaly, talks about the royalties he yields from that song, along with his other bands and performances.

Two resident fans – John of the Hawks and Kylie for the Eagles – are brought in to compete for support from their respective clubs, along with a bonus rendition: Up There You Lezzo.

For the slower second hour, the SatMag team talk about what they did for the questionable Grand Final Eve Holiday and their plans for the NRL Final.

Darren Boyd, Tony Jones and Mark McGoogan are invited to review the 2015 Footy Season, but only the latter (McGoogan) is brought in to do so.

Female Talent Development Manager Charlotte Curtis is brought in to share her thoughts on how women participate in the AFL, along with Sydney supporter Amanda.

Next up, Tas recounts his anticipation for the Grand Final that he will attend, and finally Josh presents a vox-pop of how people on the street are getting ready for Final, including how many beers Hodgie would have.

Aired on 3rd of October, 2015.
