Dyl Adler guests on Joy’s Sat Mag radio show to chat all about being Gaymer geek being Queer loving video games DC comics controversy and something called Queer Geeks of Oz which is coming to Melbourne at the Armageddon Expo POP Culture event held at the Melbourne Showgrounds on Saturday the 19th of Oct at 3pm !

PROFILE:

Dylan Adler is a radio personality on Joy 94.9 with an offbeat sense of direction and an air of naivety that he thinks is endearing. Dylan has a big focus on supporting LGBTI youth with his work on Joy and with Bent T.V’s series Queer Young Thing and even bigger focus on head shots in any FPS.

On Queer Geeks of Oz:

•To go where no ‘Queer’ Geeks have gone before!

•It’s NOT a Final frontier .. it’s a NEW Frontier in Oz !

•This is MORE than just a panel of chat about sci-fi, horror, spec fiction , comics and games.. All the things we are crazy about !! …. it is also the FIRST ever organised and arranged ‘Gig’ at a big mainstream pop culture con for LGBTIQ & Friends to come together to meet and share ideas, stories new and old and passions for all things Geek!

•It includes an array of guests from within the Oz Queer community, with people as diverse as TV writers, games developers, film makers, fan organisation leaders both local and international ( these will be video messages? , which hopefully we can play, if not they will go on fb page ).

•The concept is to be able to show to a broad range of Geeks and Nerds the awesomeness of the LGBTIQ Geek Media and Fan community, plus those who identify as Queer Geeks can show how wonderful it is to be OUT and proud to do so/be

•To be able to show to the wider community we have a voice.

•To reach out to all Geeks and be counted !

•To form alliances within diverse fan communities .

•To break down barriers and counter discrimination that may exist in Geek Worlds.
