/ Yesterday Once More / Music / Light and Shade

The expression ‘light and shade’ can be used in a variety of ways to highlight the variances in particular situations or circumstances. For this week’s theme, however, the use of the words LIGHT and SHADE will focus on songs that have these words appearing in their titles or embedded in their lyrics e.g. The Four Lads ‘Put a Light in the Window’ (title) and The Diamonds ‘Silhouettes’ (lyrics).

  • The Naughty Lady of Shady Lane – Dean Martin
  • Silhouettes – The Diamonds

  • Twilight Time – The Platters
  • There’s A Light Across The Valley – Hans Poulsen
