This week we celebrate the feat of delivering men to the Moon, and we compare this to some of the engineering marvels of 100 years ago which now look so puny.

We celebrate the literary works of Sarah Waters who wrote historical narratives with lesbian protagonists in book and TV form and we note sex-educator and performance artist, Annie Sprinkle, who educated women into accepting their bodies for self-pleasure.

We celebrate other community members with birthdays: Jan Hillier Melbourne Icon, Danny La Rue female impersonator, Long John Baldry and Rufus Wainwright.
