Politics, Homeless, London Pride March, Reef, A.Kinsey, M.Brando

This week’s show starts with a political theme as we remember the introduction of the GST in 2000, and now we have the proposed divisive equal-marriage-rights plebiscite and the horror of public hysteria and vilification.

At this time of the coldest months, we consider the plight of the homeless people we see in the Melbourne CBD, the causes and solutions.

In London, the Pride March is very eventful with one example being- a cop proposing to his boyfriend. Also in the UK another parliamentarian has ‘come out’ making at least 35 in Westminster and the reality of the Brexit vote is being reassessed by the Brits.

We worry about what’s happening to the Great Barrier Reef and speculate about how it would have looked to Captain Cook.

We are reminded of some birthdays around this time – Alfred Kinsey (sexologist) and film star and bi-sexuality practitioner Marlon Brando.

Plus some trivia and mirth …..
