/ Bent Notes / Arts / THEN THIS happened with Niko Schauble

Niko Schauble is a multi-talented Musician, composer, arranger and producer who also owns the Pughouse Recording Studio.

Niko chats about his time in COVID Isolation and his first venture onto a jazz club stage with an audience when his THEN THIS quartet takes to the Jazzlab stage at the end of June.

Along the way Niko manages to keep us entertained with stories from his many years in the industry – starting in his birth-place of Germany where he was born into a musical family.

Hear about how much Jazz can mean to a person when Niko tells us about a young German record producer who worked his way on a merchant vessel from Germany to New York just to hop off for one night to hear the great Cannonball Adderley perform on stage – then returned to Germany on the merchant vessel the next day!

Hear the stories behind Niko’s compositions EIGHTEEN ARABS and ES GEHT – and Niko’s Quirkiness!!

Niko Schauble was guest of Bent Notes on Sunday June 14, 2020
