Tom and Michael Avgenicos grew up with a love of music, dancing around their lounge room to the music from the stereo before taking up musical instruments and playing along with the recordings.
Their music education has seen them travel to Europe and the USA where they have participated in festivals and workshops.
Back home in Australia they have worked alongside the big names in Aussie Jazz, as well as creating their own projects and collaborations.
After a couple of years of developing the symbiotic musicality of their joint project – The Avgenicos Brothers – they have released their debut album – TREADING WATER.
Hear Tom and Michael describe their experiences and talk about the new album in this podcast from Bent Notes.
Tom and Michael Avgenicos were guests of Bent Notes on Sunday September 27, 2020
