/ Family Matters / Kids & Family / Interview: Jason Tuazon-McCheyne

As the anniversary of the marriage equality survey starts popping up in our social media feeds, we reflect with Jason Tuazon-McCheyne – Gay dad  and Marriage Celebrant.

Jason & Adrian’s were one of a few couples who brought a legal case to have their overseas marriage recognised, prompting Australia to change the law to exclude them in 2004.

Jason is also the Executive Director The Equality Project. The Equality Project is a new, national organisation bringing together Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex and Queer (LGBTIQ+) people with our allies across the social justice movement, to advocate for a better, more just, and fairer society for all Australians.

The Equality Project’s Leadership Training Academy (#LTA2018) is a specialised leadership and media engagement training program for LGBTIQ+ change-makers and emerging community leaders who want to build the core skills and techniques to effect positive social change.
