It’s Back!

JOY Radiothon 2024 is scheduled for

June 1-7, 2024.

This year Radiothon is running for 7 days and we’re making it bigger and better!

Building on last year’s theme “TOGETHER WE THRIVE”, this year we want to see our community
“FLOURISH WITH JOY”.

WHY SUPPORT JOY’S RADIOTHON

In a time of heightened media spread attacks against our community, with legislative changes set to do more harm than good, with our people needing proud and loud support from family and allies alike, we know that JOY’s work to build a more inclusive society is no where near done! Learning from our pioneers, JOY knows that we are strengthened and do better when we work together, both as a team at JOY, and as a strong united team within our Rainbow community.

Radiothon is how you can support JOY to be a voice for our community, to continue this work for us all!

As you know, a large portion of all JOY’s revenue comes from Radiothon, so our fundraising drive is vital in keeping JOY thriving.

This year’s target is $300,000 and we believe through your support and a fun on air campaign, that we will be able to hit this target.

One key fact is that currently, if every one of our 568,000 listeners support us by donating just $10 during Radiothon, we’d be able to keep the station running for over 2 years!

JOY Media has grown from 94.9 radio, into a multimedia organisation that provides services including things like JOY Production Services, JOY Technical Services, JOY Academy and more, and right now, JOY is currently building our organisation to a point of sustainability. In order to support this growth, we need to have resources to back us up. Resourcing JOY takes energy, passion and most of all money, and that is why we need our listeners to help us achieve our financial goal this Radiothon.

To help our FLOURISH WITH JOY Radiothon campaign reach amazing heights, we will once again be running our very popular prize campaign,
to really help us stand out and raise the revenue through the roof.
