JOY’s Radiothon is back for 2022 and we need your support to secure the future of LGBTIQA+ radio and media! We want you to #GrowWithJOY and you can do so in a number of ways: donate, become a member, renew your membership or if you’re not in a position to provide funds, share it with people you know who can. The more money we raise during Radiothon, the more support and services we can provide to our LGBTIQA+ community.

Not only will you be supporting our crucial work, but you’ll also be in with a chance to win $30,000 worth of prizes with Unbolt the Vault!

What is Unbolt the Vault?

It’s our biggest prize draw yet! Inside our fabulous JOY vault includes:

HOW TO ENTER:

Someone must become a member, renew their membership, OR donate $40 AUD or more to go in the draw to win an Unbolt The Vault key. If you have a key, you are in with a chance to win ALL the prizes in the vault.

Who is eligible for a Key?

An eligible entrant is someone who, during one of the 10 days of Radiothon:

registers as a New Member;
renews their existing membership, or
donates $40 AUD or more in a single transaction.

An ineligible entrant and someone who may not claim the major prize is someone who is:

An eligible entrant already in possession of a Key;
JOY staff member;
JOY volunteers;
JOY presenters; and
their families.

How do I get a key?

Each show across the 10 days of Radiothon will be given one Key to give away per show – that Key could Unbolt the Vault to thousands of dollars worth of prizes.

All listeners have to do to be in the running for the vault’s prizes is renew an existing membership (excluding business and organisation memberships), sign up as a new member, or donate $40 or more in a single transaction during a show on JOY. Eligible entrants are entered into a draw for a Key that could ‘Unbolt the Vault’ and win all prizes.

Each program’s Key will be drawn 10 minutes prior to the end of each program and keys are limited to 1 per eligible entrant.

Can people enter multiple times to win a key?

Yes! Donations of $40 or more can be made in multiple shows, however an eligible entrant can only win one key for the major draw. Donations of a value equal to multiples of $40 in a single transaction are considered to be one entry, e.g. an $80 donation made in a single transaction is one entry, not two.

How is the key used?

On the final night of Radiothon 8th April 2022, JOY will invite all Key winners to the Victorian Pride Centre’s Rooftop for a massive Rooftop Party! The eligible entrants will each be given a Key to try to Unbolt the Vault. Only one key will open the door to all the prizes. An official will be there to make sure the keys are fairly distributed.

What happens if the person who wins a key can’t attend?

In this case a JOY representative will be allocated to represent that person and will attempt to open the Vault with the key on their behalf.
