JOY has been on air for 25 years and we’re still going strong!

We’ve been advocating for, reporting on and supporting the LGBTI community through so many life changing milestones:
- Reporting on the HIV epidemic
- Providing a safe space to air our outrage and disgust at the raid on Tasty nightclub
- Broadcasting from the first Melbourne Pride March
- Commentating on Australia’s first Pride Cup
- Campaigning for Marriage Equality
- and everything in between!
We’re proud of our history and this Radiothon we are celebrating the achievements of
our community and just how far we’ve come!
Throughout Radiothon there will be on-air montages of important audio moments we’ve shared, blast from the past great songs that we’ve partied to throughout our 25-year history and we will share your JOYful memories of what JOY has meant to you.
We’ll also look to the exciting future of JOY and where we’ll be in the next 25 years.
We have an exciting Radiothon prize we’ll be announcing on June 1 and a couple of great new ways to support us.
