JOY Life member & volunteer Tim Lennox retires after 25 years

Journalist Tim Lennox (aka Robert Lennox Suggett) joined JOY in 1995 and has been a volunteer member of the news team ever since. As our News Director he encouraged and mentored scores of JOY news presenters, including many who have gone on to full-time print and electronic media careers.

Also, as a photographer, Tim has chronicled much of the progress of JOY, from its early days in studios above a hardware store in South Melbourne to its current modern City Village premises. In recognition of his unbroken service, the JOY Board christened Studio 2 used primarily for news broadcasts, as the ‘Tim Lennox Studio’ in 2011. Tim has hosted a number of JOY current affairs programs over the years and his voice is a familiar one among the many JOY news bulletins delivered each week.

Tim’s last news broadcast is Monday 12 noon April 8

Thank you Tim for 25 years of first class volunteering, best wishes from all at JOY !
